Whether these cables are used in oily environments, in cable trays in replace of conduits or in high temperature applications, CableMaster has a solution for you. These cables have UL/CSA and CE approvals. For European flexible cable solutions please see the European cables section. CableMaster is extremely knowledgeable and can come up with a solution for your applications.
Flexible Tray Cables

Flexible tray cable applications can be found in large industrial machinery as well as within buildings where the need for a more installer friendly cable may need to be used due to tight bend radius. These cables are available shielded or unshielded.
TC-ER Approval
These cables all carry the TC-ER (exposed run) approval, also known as “open wiring”. This means that the cables have been tested by UL to meet additional crush and impact requirements that are similar to that of Type MC Cable. The TC-ER cables are able to extend an unlimited distance outside of a cable tray provided that it is secured every 6 feet or less when connecting to a motor or other electrical device. Tray cables without the –ER rating must be installed in a conduit and or raceway if they extend beyond 6 feet (1.8meters). This information can be found in the 2005 National Electric Code Article 336.10(7). Using this type of cable allows for a much lower installed cost due to the fact that conduit and/or raceway is not required.
Flexible Control Cables

Flexible control cables can be found in industrial machinery, packaging equipment, conveyors, processing equipment and control panels. These cables provide excellent oil resistance to most oils and solvent and can be used in dry and wet conditions. The products are available in shielded and non-shielded versions. They meet the NFPA 79 2007 standard for machinery wiring. Their flexibility allows them to be routed easily through tight bend applications. The conductors are typically all black and number coded with a green ground which allows for easy termination.
Flexible VFD and Servo Cables

VFD and servo cables are used in conjunction with variable frequency drives and motors. These cables are built to last in dirty and oily environments typically found in industrial machinery. They are equipped with specially designed shielding to help minimize noise and harmonic distortion commonly caused by these products. Some are provided with an extra pair or two for a brake and/or temperature sensor.
If you are looking for VFD and Servo Cables that are for continuous flex applications, please see the section under robotics cables.
Flexible Industrial Ethernet Cables

Computer networks are now reaching the factory floor. More and more industrial machinery is taking advantage of Ethernet to allow for local and remote communication. Standard network cables are not able to withstand the rigors of the oils and solvents of industrial machinery. These cables provide the ability to withstand these rigors and remain flexible while complying with EIA/TIA-568 standards of Category 5e and Category 6.
Flexible Industrial Communication Cables

Industrial communication cables are used on industrial machinery and equipment to allow the controls of the machinery to get the information to the devices that they are controlling. This can be done over Devicenet and other Bus style communication methods as well as through other means of communication such as RS-232 and RS-485. These cables are designed to withstand the rigors of industrial equipment including oils and solvents.
